virtue of being human whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national
or ethnic origin, color, religion, language, or any other status. We are all
equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are
all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible. They are more than values and
behaviors which belong to everyone and can’t be taken away. They are about the
relationship between the state and individuals. Provide a floor, not a ceiling,
of basic standards, below which the state must not fall and which it must
protect or fulfill.
